My Altitude is a book of poems that has the merit of every
work born from essential, intimate truths. It was written from
the solitude and isolation of a cell in which its author has
been arbitrarily confined, for nearly three years, due to flawed
judicial process in Miami.
Antonio
Guerrero wrote these verses with passion and the urgency to
communicatewith the firmness of one who is on the side of
justice and humanity. Thus, his poetry, conceived in that
apparent place of defeat -prison-, paradoxically is a chant of
the trumph of love, for its fresh vitality, its tenderness
without resentments and for the author's infinite faith in life.
These
verses are the lyric testimony of one, whom with a language of
moving sincerity, transmits to us the conviction of his
innocence and grandiosity. |
