Fidel decorated mothers and wives of the five heroes, prisoners of the empire

Havana, March 8 (AIN) The restless support to the mothers and wives of the five heroes , prisoners of the empire , was recognized when Fidel decorated them , with the Mariana Grajales and Ana Betancourt orders.

According to what has been agreed by the National Assembly of the Popular Power , adopted on a extraordinary session on December 29 , last , the courageous Cuban women received the high stimuli in a solemn act , being carried out on the International Women Day .

As patriotic citizens and mothers, examples of dignity and greatness, contributing in an extraordinary way to the cause of their sons , Carmen Nordello Tejera, Magali Llort Ruiz, Irma Sehwerert and Mirtha Rodríguez received the Mariana Grajales Order.

The top leader of the Revolution , also decorated Adriana Pérez O´Connor , Elizabeth Palmeiro Casado, Rosa Aurora Freijanes Coca and Olga Betancourt because of their restless support to their husbands and their outstanding contribution to independence and peace for their homeland.

The high decorations recognize the great honor with which these women stand the deep sorrow for their mates´s s absences , so they have received the recognition of the whole people .
