Washington, Oct 19 .- Two accomplices of
international terrorist Luis Posada Carriles denied they collaborated with US
legal authorities and may have to go to court, the Miami Herald newspaper
stated Thursday.
Hilario Pujol and Ruben Lopez are charged
with contempt and it is predicted they will be tried by a Texas jury, the
daily said.
Pujol and Lopez allegedly know details of the
illegal entrance of criminal Posada Carriles to United States, but they still
refuse to cooperate with representatives of the US legal system, who have been
interrogating them since June.
New actions and evidence since early October
implicate the terrorist in several cases of attacks on Cuba and other
countries.
The US National Security File has published
additional information on the criminal s responsibility in the mid-air
explosion of a Cubana airplane that killed 73 people in October 1976.
Texts include four volumes of files that link
Posada Carriles with the Central Intelligence Agency and show his
participation in terrorist actions and sabotage of the plane.
Luis Posada Carriles has been detained since
May 2005 at a jail in El Paso, Texas, where a legal decision is expected to
grant him parole and acquit him from charges of "illegal immigration." (PL)
